Prayagraj: Newly appointed divisional commissioner Dr Lokesh M formally assumed charge in Prayagraj on Thursday. Soon after taking charge, the commissioner met officers and other staff members and sought details about their responsibilities while issuing a series of directions aimed at improving efficiency and ensuring the timely disposal of files.During an inspection of various sections of the commissioner’s office, Dr Lokesh directed all section heads to streamline the maintenance of records and files within a week. He instructed officials to place identification labels on all files and asked employees to display nameplates mentioning their names, designations and areas of responsibility.He also inspected the office premises and instructed officials to strengthen cleanliness arrangements. He called for the installation of dustbins at suitable locations and ordered improvements in the maintenance of the area around the reverse osmosis (RO) water facility.The commissioner said another inspection would be conducted after a week to review the progress made by different sections of the office.He also directed officers and employees to behave courteously with visitors and ensure that public grievances are addressed promptly and in accordance with the rules.
