Prayagraj: Team Prayagraj created history by emerging as the overall champion for the first time at CISCE regional lawn tennis championship held at St Peter’s College in Agra.The team delivered an impressive performance to outshine participants from Kanpur, Agra, Varanasi and Lucknow and finished at the top of the medal standings with six gold, one silver and two bronze medals.Most members of the victorious team are trainees of Allahabad Gymkhana Tennis Academy, where they train under coach Asad Iqbal. Their outstanding performances also secured them places in the upcoming CISCE National Lawn Tennis Championship.Coach Asad Iqbal praised the players for their commitment, discipline and determination and expressed gratitude to the schools and parents for their continued support.
