Gorakhpur: A passenger-friendly live train information webpage has been launched at Gorakhpur Junction railway station to digitise the train status display system and improve passenger convenience.According to the chief public relations officer of North Eastern Railway (NER), Pankaj Kumar Singh, the web application has been developed in-house without any additional expenditure. The system replaces the manually updated whiteboard at the enquiry counter with a real-time digital interface, allowing passengers to access transparent and accurate train information. The webpage displays the live status of trains scheduled to depart from Gorakhpur Junction within the next four hours. Trains are categorised according to direction, enabling daily commuters and unreserved passengers to easily identify trains relevant to their routes.Officials said information about diversions, rescheduled services, controlled trains and cancellations will be clearly highlighted on the platform to help passengers avoid confusion and last-minute inconvenience. Passengers can access the webpage by scanning a QR code displayed at the station, while the platform can also be opened on any device using a designated URL.
