Rajkot: A team of the state monitoring cell (SMC) of Gujarat Police carried out a raid at Vadvala village in Kutch district on Friday and seized seized Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) and vehicles, together worth over Rs 5.09 crore.Officials seized 56,088 bottles of IMFL, valued at Rs 4 crore. Six vehicles — two trucks, three mini trucks and one pickup — were also seized. Two men — Jasram Bharwad, a resident of Rapar, and Vishal Karamakam of Meghpar — were arrested and handed over to Paddhar police.Police declared 23 persons wanted in the case. Among them are listed bootleggers Navjoyot alias Navghan Maraj, Anopsinh Rathod, Devendra alias Devo Kapdi who were receivers of consignments. Mustafa alias Rahul alias Mahakal Pathan, a resident of Mewat in Haryana, was identified as the supplier.Five of Maraj’s servants are also among the wanted accused. The raid was led by PSI S V Galchar of the SMC.
