Jaipur: Showers accompanied by thunder were recorded in parts of northern Rajasthan over the past 24 hours, with rainfall reported in some areas of the Bikaner division Sunday. Weather officials said isolated parts of north-eastern Rajasthan may witness light showers with thunder, while most parts of the state are likely to remain dry Monday and Tuesday.According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a fresh and relatively strong western disturbance is expected to influence the state between March 18 and 21, which may lead to more widespread weather activity.On March 18, parts of the Jodhpur division and Bikaner division may witness thundercloud development, gusty winds, and light rainfall. The weather system is expected to intensify on March 19 and 20, bringing thunderstorms, scattered rainfall, and winds with speeds of 40–50 kmph in parts of the Jodhpur, Bikaner, Ajmer division, Jaipur division, and Bharatpur division.Light rain was also recorded late Saturday night in districts including Jaipur and Bikaner. In Khairthal-Tijara district, hail was reported in the Tapukara area on Sunday morning.In Jaipur, the maximum temperature settled at 35.7°C, about 1.9°C above normal, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 22.7°C.
