Srinagar, Mar 03: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday extended greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the eve of Holi, which will be celebrated on March 4, 2026 (Wednesday).
In his message, the Lieutenant Governor expressed hope that the festival would bring happiness and success to all. “On the festive occasion of Holi, I convey my warm greetings to the people. May this festival of colours bring joy and prosperity in the society and foster the spirit of harmony amongst our citizens,” he said.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah described Holi as a vibrant celebration symbolising togetherness and the triumph of harmony over discord. He expressed hope that the festival would strengthen communal harmony, promote mutual respect, and deepen the bonds of brotherhood across the region.
The Chief Minister also prayed for sustained peace, prosperity, and progress in Jammu and Kashmir, expressing confidence that the festival would usher in renewed hope and happiness for all residents.
