Times News NetworkKanpur: Vice-chairman of the Council for Leather Exports, Mukhtarul Amin represented the Indian leather industry at the Confederation of International Footwear Associations (CIFA) conference held in Cambodia on Sunday.The conference brought together leaders of national leather and footwear associations from across the world to deliberate on key issues concerning the future of the international leather and footwear industry.The event served as an important platform for strengthening global cooperation, promoting sustainable industrial development, encouraging innovation, and enhancing international trade and investment.The representatives of leading leather and footwear industry associations from several countries participated in the conference, reflecting the global industry’s shared commitment to collaboration, knowledge exchange, and strategic partnerships.Amin’s participation in the conference reaffirmed India’s growing stature as a reliable global sourcing destination for quality leather, footwear, leather goods, and allied products.During his visit to Cambodia, Amin is also scheduled to tour leading footwear and leather manufacturing facilities to gain insights into the country’s manufacturing ecosystem and explore opportunities for strengthening industrial collaboration between India and Cambodia.He will also meet the Ambassador of India to Cambodia to discuss prospects for bilateral cooperation in the leather and footwear sector, with a focus on enhancing trade, investment, technology exchange, and institutional partnerships between the two countries.
