Jharsuguda: Senior advocate and former president of Jharsuguda District Bar Association, Trinath Gual, 57, was found dead under mysterious circumstances near the railway tracks at Balijori under Airport police station limits in the early hours of Tuesday. During the investigation, a suicide note was recovered in which it was clearly mentioned that no one was responsible for his death, said SP (Jharsuguda) GR Raghavendra.Preliminary investigation suggests that Gual may have died after allegedly coming in front of a moving train. “Around 5.35 am, the loco pilot of train no. 18108 Rourkela-Koraput Intercity Express reported the incident. After the post-mortem examination, the body will be handed over to the family,” he added.However, family members have rejected the suicide angle and demanded a thorough probe. Jadumani Gual, nephew of the deceased, said, “My uncle was a mentally strong person. We cannot understand how he could have died by suicide. I suspect there may be something else behind this incident.” Former Brajrajnagar MLA Alaka Mohanty expressed grief over the incident and called for an impartial investigation.
