Bengaluru: A 41-year-old woman has filed a complaint with Ashok Nagar police that her HP laptop worth Rs 59,000 was stolen from her locked house on Anthony Nichols Street.According to the woman, the theft took place on the morning of April 24 after all family members left home and she locked the door with a number lock around 10.15am before leaving for work.About an hour later, her younger son returned home and found that the laptop she had bought for her elder son’s studies was missing along with its bag. After searching the house and failing to trace it, he informed his mother.The woman said she checked with all family members, including her elder son, and they confirmed none of them had the laptop. She said she suspected theft by some unknown person who manahed to unlock the door.Police said they had filed a case under BNS Section 305 and were verifying CCTV footage to identify the thief.
