Bengaluru: After days of intense summer heat, the city may get some respite, with light to moderate showers likely after two days, according to India Meteorological Department (IMD).The city recorded a maximum temperature of 36°C Sunday, while the minimum stood at 23.1°C. According to the forecast, the city is expected to see mainly clear skies turning partly cloudy by afternoon, with chances of light showers over the next couple of days. Daytime temperatures are likely to remain around 36°C, while minimum temperatures may hover near 23°C. Heat conditions, however, are expected to persist for now.Elsewhere in Karnataka, weather conditions are set to vary across regions. Coastal districts, including Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada, are likely to receive light rain or thundershowers, accompanied by gusty winds of 30-40 kmph. Isolated pockets may continue to experience hot and humid conditions. In north interior Karnataka, districts like Belagavi, Dharwad, Haveri, Gadag, Kalaburagi, Yadgir, Raichur, and Koppal may witness light rain or thundershowers at isolated places, while most other areas are likely to remain dry. Parts of south interior Karnataka, including Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, and Kodagu, may also receive light rain with gusty winds, even as dry weather is expected to prevail elsewhere in the region.
