The opening round of the Indian Racing Festival 2026 was held at Kari Motor Speedway

Coimbatore: Australian driver Aris Kyriakou finished on top of the podium in race three and finished second in the other two races to lead the F4 Indian Championship standings at the conclusion of the opening round, featuring three races at Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore on Sunday.Kyriakou won race three after holding off Mahlori Mabunda. Fifteen-year-old Singaporean Aaron Mehta finished third after late-race incidents affected the field.Earlier in the first race, South Africa’s Luviwe Sambudla won after starting eighth, while Kyriakou finished second and Mehta third. Meanwhile, Mehta drove to limelight by becoming the championship’s youngest-ever pole-sitter.Another 15-year-old, Aryan Narola, won race two from pole position to become the second-youngest winner in the series after beating Kyriakou by 0.624 seconds.The opening round of the Indian Racing Festival 2026 was held at Kari Motor Speedway. The sixth season of the Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup also began at the circuit. Kabir Sahoch won all three races in the amateur category, while newcomer Senthil Kumar completed a three-race sweep in the professional category. Both championships will return to Kari Motor Speedway for round two.
