Mysuru: Days after Mysuru district administration cleared encroachment of prime land in Kurubarahalli, at the foothills of Chamundi Hills, Krishnaraja MLA TS Srivatsa accused officials of trying to help land sharks acquire the 24 acres of land illegally. According to him, the govt land was estimated at around Rs 200 crore, and told reporters that the land is recorded as govt property in the RTC maintained by the Mysuru taluk tahsildar.Despite this, Krishnaraja MLA TS Srivatsa alleged that benami individuals entered into a sale agreement with two Bengaluru-based firms, raising serious questions about the legality of the transaction. Srivatsa questioned how officials could permit the registration of a sale agreement for govt land and demanded a high-level probe into the role of officials.Calling it a large-scale financial scam, the MLA urged an investigation by the enforcement directorate.
