Jamshedpur: The state govt announced to run the Institute of Professional Studies (IPS) (previously named Engineering Professional College (EPC). Situated in Sidhgora, the IPS will commence its business from 2026-27 academic session with three professional courses namely Master of Business Administration (MBA), Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) and Diploma in Computer Applications (DCA) in the inaugural year.The govt announced the plan on the floor of the assembly in reply to the question raised by Jamshedpur (East) MLA Purnima Sahu on Wednesday.“Glad that the govt announced to run the institute from the 2026-27 academic session itself. The announcement will benefit scores of educated youths of Kolhan division who go out of the state to pursue professional courses every year,” the MLA said.The govt has announced plans to renovate the building at a cost of Rs 3 crore.
