Jaipur: While remaining silent on the state govt’s decision to not cancel the controversial 2021 sub-inspector (SI) recruitment exam, cabinet minister Kirori Lal Meena said Wednesday that he had provided evidence to the police’s special operations group (SOG) regarding matters related to Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Govind Singh Dotasra’s several family members clearing the RAS exam. He further stated that he does not want to make the matter related to “six RAS officers from Dotasra’s family” public, as it would ruin their future. “Details will be known to the public soon,” Meena said, while addressing mediapersons in Sirohi. He said that during the previous Cong govt, papers of 17 out of 18 recruitment exams were leaked. “Our govt sent 56 SHOs and two RPSC members to jail. The previous govt deceived soldiers and farmers. Seeds and fertilisers are fake, and pesticides are not genuine, leading to the destruction of farmers’ crops. Farmlands are becoming barren. These are all due to the previous govt,” he said. On the SI exam, he said, “The govt formed a cabinet sub-committee. It decided not to cancel the exam, and they have submitted the report to the court. The matter is sub-judice. I won’t comment on it.”
