Kanpur: GSVM medical college completed all necessary formalities for kidney transplants, and the government-formed committee submitted its approval report after inspection. Transplants will begin once the licence is obtained from the D-G office.A government-appointed team inspected the Super Speciality Hospital on Jan 9. The team included Dr Abhinav Arun Sonkar from KGMU’s surgery department, Dr Ishwar Ram Dhayal from the urology department of Dr RMML IMS, and Dr Narayan Prasad from SGPGI’s nephrology department. The team provided a favourable report to the government. The college administration indicated that only the licence was awaited. Sources anticipate the licence will be received in April.
