Kanpur: The ongoing Khadi and Gramodyog exhibition at Vrijendra Swaroop Park witnessed a brisk sale on Friday. The 10-day divisional-level exhibition, organised by UP Khadi and Gramodyog Board, would continue till Feb 18. A total of 105 stalls of khadi, gramodyog and pottery have been set up.On Friday, Khadi apparel shops was a crowd puller while visitors also liked snacks, spices and picles made by self help groups. There was special demand for snacks of Rajasthan. Jute slippers from Dehradun remained the centre of attraction. An awareness programme to promote indigenous products as also organised at the exhibition.In cultural evening on Saturday, folk songs and folk dance will be presented by Riddh-Siddh Music Academy, Lucknow. Regional gramodyog officer Ashok Kumar Sharma, president of Gramodyog Mahasangh Suresh Gupta and others wre present at the programme. tnn
