T’puram: Devaswom minister K Muraleedharan has expressed his deep dissatisfaction to the advocate general (AG) over the delay in the investigation into the Sabarimala gold heist case, particularly the submission of the chargesheet in the kattilappali case.A court had directed the special investigation team (SIT) to file the chargesheet by Sept 22. With only three days left, the probe team is yet to seek prosecution sanction, prompting the minister to question the delay.There a total of 15 accused listed in the case, including former devaswom and govt officials. Prosecution sanction is required to file chargesheets against 13 of them. The sanction has to be processed after scrutiny by the home, devaswom and law departments.SIT chief SP S Sashidharan had appeared before the high court and submitted a progress report on the investigation. The court had subsequently directed the SIT to ensure that there was no further delay in filing the final report.The SIT has completed the investigation into the kattilappali case, while the probe into the dwarapalaka idol case is in its final stage. The team had informed the court that the final report in the cases could be submitted before the trial court by the end of this month after incorporating the results of scientific examinations.The SIT has been investigating the Sabarimala gold heist case for nearly 11 months.
