Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi president Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Wednesday alleged a conspiracy in the recruitment of degree college lecturers, drawing parallels with the controversial Group-1 recruitment process.Addressing the media at the party office, she accused the govt of creating hurdles for unemployed youth through a series of govt orders, thereby restricting fair access to jobs. She specifically targeted GO No. 4, claiming it was designed to favour select candidates in lecturer recruitment.Kavitha also objected to the provision of 25 marks’ weightage for PhD holders, questioning its fairness when PhD opportunities themselves are limited. She alleged that, similar to the Group-1 recruitment, where special exam centres were reportedly used to benefit certain individuals, comparable tactics are now being adopted.Demanding transparency, she called for the immediate withdrawal of GO No. 4 and sought the cancellation of other contentious GOs, including GO 104 (DSC), GO 29 (Group exams), GO 46 (police recruitment) and GO 81 (Gurukul institutions), stating they create barriers for aspirants. She criticised both previous and current govts for failing to review these policies and accused the Congress of exploiting youth for political gain. Kavitha demanded a clear job calendar and filling of 2 lakh govt vacancies, highlighting concerns of nearly 40 lakh families dependent on government job opportunities.
