Bengaluru: Karnataka Govt Medical Officers’ Association and Karnataka State Health and Medical Education Department Employees’ Central Association Tuesday called off their strike following a meeting with health minister Dinesh Gundu Rao and social welfare minister HC Mahadevappa.The govt agreed to 13 of the demands, excluding restrictions around private practice. The minister promised to review it and get back to the associations.Some of the demands were ensuring regular supply of medicines to govt hospitals, amendment of cadre and recruitment rules, publishing updated seniority lists and granting pending promotions.
