Kanpur: Ojaswit Pasricha of Kanpur etched his name in academic history, with a flawless 100 out of 100 in every subject in 1SC results. A student of Sheiling House School, the 17-year-old set a benchmark by achieving a perfect sweep across the board.Kanpur’s academic prowess shone in the CISCE’s intermediate results, with Ojaswit bringing laurels to both his school and the city.Speaking to reporters, Ojaswit credited self-study, school teaching, and regular preparation for his success. The school said he was the city and national topper, but the board has not released the merit list yet.Ojaswit wishes to pursue a career in research after completing his BSc from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru. His mother, Smita Pasricha, is a Hindi teacher at the same school, while his father, Rajneesh Pasricha, is in the medical business.Shristi Gupta, 15, of Mother Teresa School, Kidwai Nagar, secured second place in the city with 99.7% marks. Her achievement created an atmosphere of joy in her family and school.After the results were declared, celebrations began in various schools across the city.The principal and teachers of Sheiling House School expressed pride over Ojaswit’s achievement. In the CISCE Class X results, Srishti Singh from Sheiling House School achieved the top position in the city with a score of 99.8%. Speaking to the media, she mentioned that she consistently revised the subjects taught in class and focused on self-study. Srishti aspires to pursue a career in engineering and aims to succeed in JEE Advanced. She stated that neither her teachers nor her parents pressured her during her studies, which contributed to her improved performance. Her father, Satyendra Pratap Singh, is employed at KESCO, and her mother, Priyanka Singh, is a homemaker. The family lives in the Tilak Nagar area.Meanwhile, Arunima Mohan of Sheiling House scored 97% in the ICSE Class X exams. Her parents, Dr Hemant Mohan and Dr Aarti Mohan, are homeopathic physicians. Her grandfather, Revati Raman Mohan, is a former chemistry lecturer and principal of Bharatiya Vidyalaya Inter College, while her grandmother, Pushpa Mohan, is a retired telecom department officer from Mall Road.Arunima’s principal said that she has been a meritorious student from the beginning. Her teachers, Rama Sharma and Uma Sharma, said that she stays away from the internet and mobile phone. Cricket and badminton are her favourite sports. She believes in hard work along with praying to God.In the results, Mayukh Awasthi and Harshit Aggarwal from Sheiling House School scored 99.6%. Meanwhile, Mohammad Hannan from Sheiling House and Aadi Arora from The Chintels School, Ratanlal Nagar, scored 99.4%, bringing pride to the city.Sheiling House school principal Vanita Mehrotra said, “This is the result of the hard work and proper guidance of my teachers, students, and their parents. We continuously scrutinise each student at a micro level in the school and pay special attention to their regular assessments and career counseling.”
