Times News NetworkKanpur: The district administration will now conduct a meeting every Friday to redress the problems of entrepreneurs of the district. The district magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh, in a review meeting of Zila Udyog Bandhu and Vyapar Bandhu, asked to conduct weekly meetings with respective departments.He said that officials should not wait for a meeting. Instead, they must ensure the immediate resolution of issues. He further clarified that the time-bound resolution of issues related to industry and trade was the primary responsibility of the administration, and all departments were required to take prompt action.While reviewing pending cases on the Nivesh Mitra portal, Singh directed that the disposal of the 18 cases pending beyond the stipulated timeframe be ensured on a regular and daily basis. Instructions were issued to write a letter to the Housing Commissioner against the concerned official for failing to provide information regarding the pending cases.During the meeting, instructions were issued to withhold one day’s salary of Praveen Yadav, executive engineer of the Jal Nigam, for remaining absent without permission.The IIA raised the issue of making the Dada Nagar-Vijay Nagar route free of potholes. Additionally, the IIA, FITA, PIA, and Laghu Udyog Bharati highlighted the problem of encroachment on the green belt situated near the LLR T-junction. In response, the DM stated that in accordance with the orders of the Supreme Court, a District Highway Task Force is being constituted, through which the NHAI will undertake measures to identify and remove encroachments.
