Kanpur: A pharmacy graduate and a son of a retired CB-CID inspector died after allegedly consuming poison in Chakeri area of the city on Tuesday.His father Munnilal Singh, a resident of Ghau Kheda, said that his son, Amar Singh (38), had completed a B Pharma course but was unemployed. His mother died four months ago. Amar went to the terrace and after consuming poison he came down to bid goodbye to his family members. Soon after, his condition deteriorated. The family rushed him to hospital, where doctors declared him dead.Munnilal was posted as an inspector in CB-CID and retired from Lucknow headquarters three years ago. He lived with his son Amar Singh, daughter-in-law Neha and grand-daughter Kritika (13) and his daughter Meenu was married.Amar could not find a job after completing B.Pharma and was in stress. His associates also filed a petition in the high court regarding employment, which was due for hearing soon. He later started working in food delivery company. his mother’s death he became more troubled and had also started taking liquor, Munnilal said.Inspector Chakeri police station Ajay Prakash Mishra said no suicide note was found. The body was sent for post-mortem, the inspector added.
