Kolkata: Aam Janata Unnayan Party (AJUP) chief and Nowda MLA Humayun Kabir offered to vacate the Rejinagar Assembly seat for former CM Mamata Banerjee.Kabir, who won both Nowda and Rejinagar seats after being suspended from Trinamool, stated that Banerjee must approach him directly for the offer.TMC suspended Kabir last year following his announcement on construction of a ‘Babri Masjid’ in Beldanga. Sources previously indicated that Kabir planned to field his son from Rejinagar, but later altered his stance.
