Ranchi: Jharkhand Governor Santosh Gangwar administered the oath of office and secrecy to Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan, who took over the reigns of Jharkhand high court as its Chief Justice, at the Raj Bhavan on Wednesday.A guard of honour was presented to him at the Birsa Munda Airport when he reached the city along with his family on July 22.The swearing-in ceremony at Raj Bhavan was attended by the sitting judges of the HC, chief minister Hemant Soren, members of the Bar Council, Advocates Association, advocate general and senior advocates of the high court. After the ceremony, Chief Justice Chauhan reached high court where he was accorded with a welcome reference followed by a luncheon hosted by the high court.Justice Chauhan took over the office of Chief Justice of Jharkhand HC from Justice MS Ramachandra Rao, who has been moved to Tripura high court.
