Shillong: Judicial custody of Sonam Raghuvanshi — prime accused in the murder of her husband Raja — and her paramour Raj Kushwaha has been extended by 14 days starting July 18, reports Manosh Das. The order was passed by the court of first class judicial magistrate DKK Mihsill through video-conferencing. Judicial custody of the other accused — Akash Rajput, Anand Kurmi, and Vishal Chauhan — was also extended by 14 days from July 17. The newly-married couple from Indore had been on a honeymoon trip to Sohra, where Raja was allegedly murdered at the behest of Sonam, police said. Raj, believed to be the mastermind behind the killing, along with his alleged accomplices Akash, Vishal, and Anand, was arrested by the Meghalaya Police’s special investigation team from Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
