Kanpur: Joint commissioner of police, Vipin Tada, on Thursday morning inspected Green Park Stadium along with officials of the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association and reviewed preparations for the forthcoming UP T20 League 2026, scheduled to be held from Aug 14 to Sept 6, 2026.During the inspection, UP T20 League chairman Sanjay Kapoor, UPCA secretary Prem Manohar Gupta, Ahmad Ali Khan and officials of the Kanpur Cricket Association accompanied Joint CP, Vipin Tada.Apart from physically inspecting the stadium premises, the officials also reviewed the seating layout and security arrangements through maps of the stadium.Discussions were held regarding crowd management, entry and exit points, and other logistical preparations for the tournament.Speaking to media persons after the inspection, Vipin Tada said that security and parking arrangements were the main concerns of the police department.He stressed identifying suitable parking spaces for spectators visiting the stadium during the league matches.He added that the organization and management of matches inside the stadium would remain the responsibility of the UPCA. UPCA officials also briefed the police authorities about stadium management and operational arrangements planned for the event.
