Varanasi: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath will reached Kashi on Friday evening to inaugurate the two-day 7th national convention of Vigyan Bharti (VIBHA) at Banaras Hindu University on Saturday. He will also address a public meeting at Kotwa in Azamgarh on Saturday afternoon.On his two-day visit to the city Yogi will review progress in on-going projects being handled by the PWD including Dalmandi road widening. He is likely to take part in an event of vendors at Chowkaghat cultural complex before offering prayer at Kashi Vishwanath and Kaal Bhairav temples.On Saturday morning, he will reach BHU to inaugurate the national convention of VIBHA, India’s largest science movement, at Swatantrata Bhawan, said VIBHA’s national organising secretary Dr Shivkumar Sharma, national general secretary Vivekananda Pai and national secretary Dr Tripta Thakur on Thursday.Around 1,200 delegates, including VIBHA members, scientists, researchers, academicians, policy-makers, industry leaders and subject experts from India and abroad will take part in the convention, they said, adding that it aims to facilitate meaningful discussions on emerging scientific and societal challenges and to discuss roadmap for a scientifically empowered and self-reliant India. This year’s deliberations will focus on nationally relevant themes including One Health, Net Zero for Viksit Bharat and Artificial Intelligence & Ethics.Apart VIBHA national president and President of Indian National Science Academy Dr Shekhar Mande many eminent speakers and thought leaders will be addressing the session of convention. The sessions on One Health, Net Zero for Viksit Bharat and Artificial Intelligence & Ethics.The convention will also feature a public lecture by renowned economist and former Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog Dr Rajiv Kumar, and a special address by RSS Sah-Sarkaryawah Dr Krishna Gopal. VIBHA will also pass the resolution on “STI Policy” for Bharat which and suggestions will be sent to the ministry for further discussions. Union minister Sanjay Seth will address the valedictory session on Sunday.While major route diversion will remain effective in Varanasi on Friday evening and Saturday morning, Azamgarh district administration and police finalised preparations for CM’s visit. Yogi is likely to address a public meeting at Agriculture College ground Kotwa in Rani ki Sarai area and will also review development work and law and order of division at a meeting with officials.
