Puducherry: Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (Jipmer) has cautioned applicants not to be cheated by touts promising admission to the central institute.In a statement, the institute said admissions to all its academic programmes are conducted through a transparent and merit-based process. Admissions to undergraduate, postgraduate and super speciality courses are made exclusively through centralised entrance examinations, counselling, and seat allocation conducted by the designated national authorities like Neet, INI-CET, and INI-SS.Admissions to courses such as M Sc Nursing, Allied Health Sciences (AHS), postdoctoral fellowship (PDF) and certain other programmes are conducted through institute-notified entrance examinations and selection procedures, in accordance with the applicable regulations.“Any information regarding admissions should be obtained only through official Jipmer notifications and authorised communication channels,” the statement said. “The institute reiterates that no individual, including any employee, former employee, agent, intermediary, or relative of any employee, has the authority or ability to influence, facilitate, or secure admission to any course outside the prescribed admission process. Any claim to the contrary is false, misleading, and intended to defraud unsuspecting candidates and their families.”Eom
