Ranchi: The Ranchi office of India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an yellow alert for thunderstorm and lightning activities across the state for Saturday and Sunday.“The sky will remain cloudy while light to moderate rain along with thunderstorm is likely to lash the state, except north-western regions like Garhwa, Chatra, Palamu and Latehar, on Saturday. North-eastern regions, including Sahibganj, Pakur, Godda, Dumka, Deoghar, Jamtara, Giridih, are likely to receive light to moderate rain or thunderstorm the next day,” Abhishek Anand of the IMD said.Ranchi recorded 34.8°C, Jamshedpur 38.5°C, Daltonganj 38°C, Bokaro 36.1°C, and Chaibasa 39.4°C, the highest in state, on Friday.Ranchi received 0.6 mm rain while Godda received 0.5 mm rain on Friday.
