Ranchi: The CBSE Class XII examinations, which coincided with Ram Navami celebrations on Friday, passed off smoothly. Examinees didn’t face any problems while going or returning from exam centres as traffic police remained on alert and also issued special directions for ensuring safe movement of the students. While the traffic wing had announced traffic restrictions from 1 pm onwards, it was actually put into force after 4 pm when processions started, sources said.Vishwajit, a resident of Hatia, said, “My son Abhijit did not face any problem in reaching his examination centre. Though Ram Navami is celebrated with fervour in a few states, including Jharkhand, CBSE conducts the examination nationally and it cannot change its schedule in view of the festival.”A student, Paulami, said she had no anxiety about being delayed due to traffic restrictions. “I arrived at my centre much before schedule,” she said.
