Ranchi: Jharkhand BJP workers have started preparations to help out their counterparts in bordering areas or constituencies in West Bengal, party sources said.Assembly polls will be held in two phases in Bengal on April 23 and 29. Counting of votes will be done on May 4.Sources said that some BJP workers, even some members, have already visited a few areas bordering Jharkhand with the aim of not only helping their counterparts there but also spreading the party leadership’s message to the people for the Bengal assembly polls. Sources said there is a lot of enthusiasm among people in Bengal who are looking for a regime change this time.“People of Bengal want to free themselves from the appeasement politics by the incumbent govt,” Anant Ojha, a senior Jharkhand BJP member, said. “Jharkhand BJP workers will help their Bengal counterparts spread PM Modi’s vision to the grassroots level,” he added.Sources said that some leaders have also visited some bordering constituencies in Bengal, and some top leaders may also visit these areas in the coming days.In the 2021 Bengal assembly polls, the Trinamool Congress, led by Mamata Banerjee, bagged 215 seats out of 294, while BJP secured 77.
