TNNRanchi: The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Jamshedpur branch office on Thursday conducted a raid at a jewellery shopand found it allegedly violating quality control order on mandatory hallmarking on gold jewellery.“The firm engaged in selling gold jewellery sans hallmark without obtaining registration from BIS. The team seized 208.88 grams of gold jewellery without hallmark from the shop. All seized jewellery found to be in violation were taken in to custody by the BIS enforcement team,” Kunal Kumar, director and head of Jamshedpur office of BIS, said.
