Participants walked a short distance near the spot before assembling there in a silent show of solidarity. Nearly 50 people attended the march. Some of them remained there until about 4 pm, after which they were detained by officials.Police said the family had assembled to pay tribute to the deceased. “Some other persons, about seven in number, were adamant that they would sit indefinitely at the site even after the passage of six hours. They were requested earlier to leave, as the tribute had already been paid,” said a police officer.
