Rajkot: A subedar (Class III) posted at Amreli district jail was caught while allegedly taking a Rs 5,000 bribe by the anti-corruption bureau (ACB) on Thursday.The accused, Hira Solanki, 40, allegedly demanded Rs 10,000 from the complainant in exchange for providing facilities to his friend, Mahir, who is in jail. The complainant alleged that Rs 5,000 was paid to the accused on Feb 4. Unwilling to pay the rest, the complainant contacted the ACB which laid a trap during which Solanki was caught red-handed.The trap was laid under the supervision of R R Solanki, inspector, ACB police station, Rajkot.
