The Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force, ITBP has invited applications for Group A posts. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website of ITBP at recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in. This recruitment drive will fill up 282 Medical Officer posts in the organisation.
The registration process commenced on August 10 and will conclude on September 8, 2026. Read below for eligibility, selection process and other details.

Eligibility Criteria
Super Specialist Medical Officers: A graduate degree in Medicine (M.B.B.S) or equivalent from a recognised university/Institution included in the first schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

Specialist Medical Officers: A recognised medical qualification of the Allopathic system of medicines included in the first or second schedule or part-II of the third schedule (other than licentiate qualification) under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

Selection Method
Candidates, whose online applications are found in order, will be issued an e-admit card mentioning date, time and venue for ‘Documentation & Interview’ by a designated Board of Officers at the designated centres, followed by Physical Standard Tests (PST) and Medical Examination Tests (MET), to assess their suitability for appointment in CAPFs & AR.
The interview will carry 200 marks and shall be conducted to test the General knowledge and ability of the candidates in the field of their academic study and also to assess the nature of personality, intellectual curiosity, and balance of judgment and alertness of mind, ability for social cohesion, integrity of character, initiative and capability for leadership of the candidates.
Application Fee
The application fee for male candidates belonging to the General (UR), OBC and EWS categories is ₹400/-. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste, the Scheduled Tribes, Ex-Servicemen and Female candidates are exempted from the payment of the application fee. The payment should be done through online mode.
