Mangaluru: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC) has launched the ‘Onam vacation special tour Golden Triangle’ with Ahmedabad Bharat Gaurav Special Tourist Train, that will depart via Mangaluru, on Aug 22 and return on Sept 2.Sam Joseph P, joint general manager-tourism, told reporters on Tuesday that the places of visit will include Ahmedabad (Sabarmati Ashram, Rani ki Vav, Adalaj Stepwell) Ekta Nagar (Statue of Unity), Delhi (Red Fort, Raj Ghat, India Gate, Lotus Temple, Qutub Minar), Agra (Taj Mahal) and Jaipur (Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar).Classes of travel will include economy non-AC sleeper in train, non-AC accommodation on twin/triple sharing basis at budget hotels, fresh up in non-AC budget hotels and non-AC vehicles for sightseeing costing Rs 21,190 per adult. Standard-AC 3 tier train travel, non-AC accommodation on twin/triple sharing basis at budget hotels, fresh up in non-AC budget hotels and non-AC vehicles for sightseeing will cost Rs 31,720 per adult.AC 3 tier train travel, AC accommodation on twin/triple sharing basis at budget hotels, fresh up in AC budget hotels and AC vehicles for sightseeing will cost Rs 37,570 per adult. The superior category will include AC 2 tier train travel, AC accommodation on twin/triple sharing basis at 3 star facility hotels, fresh up in AC budget hotels and AC vehicles for sightseeing will cost 52,870/- per adult. Three times vegetarian meals will be provided for all classes of travel.The other inclusions will include coach attendant in each coach, security staff for each coach, travel insurance and applicable GST.Vinod Nair, senior executive, tourism, said that IRCTC is also offering a domestic air package covering Bodhgaya, Kashi, Prayagraj and Ayodhya. The tour departs from Mangaluru from Aug 27 to Sept 2 and is priced from Rs 31,000 per person. The package includes airfare, accommodation with meals, local transport, tour coordinator services, and travel insurance.Air package to Kashmir from M’luru Another domestic air package to Kashmir covering Srinagar, Gulmarg, Sonmarg and Pehalgam from Mangaluru between Sept 12-17, priced from Rs 51,200 per person, is also available for booking.
