The convergence of legal and finance functions is becoming increasingly important as companies navigate the evolving role of Global Capability Centres (GCCs), Rashi Saraf, Partner, JSA Advocates & Solicitors, said on the sidelines of the JSA Boardroom Connect held on September 3.
Saraf said the session brought together not only legal professionals but also finance executives and CFOs from leading companies, allowing participants to examine the issues from both legal and financial perspectives.
“It was not just legal professionals. There were also finance executives, CFOs from renowned companies, and therefore, the convergence of legal and finance,” Saraf said.
She noted that legal and finance are among the key functions within businesses, particularly in sectors such as oil, and said hearing perspectives from both functions made the discussion particularly valuable.
“It was nice to hear views from both finance and legal teams. So it was a very interesting and well-attended session,” she said.
