Jaipur: Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) has carried out 258 raids in 175 days since it was formally constituted on Oct 7, seizing narcotics worth about Rs 563 crores. Inspector General, ANTF, Vikas Kumar said the force acted against multiple forms of drug trafficking. “Five major cases of illegal cannabis and opium cultivation were uncovered,” he said. The ANTF also busted 30 MD drug manufacturing units, including six directly seized by ANTF teams, intercepted five major consignments linked to opium smuggling, and arrested 45 wanted drug traffickers.Officials said ANTF also built its operational network during this period, setting up 18 checkpoints, a dedicated police station and a central headquarters. tnn
