Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) on Wednesday conducted field inspections in parts of Sangareddy district following complaints received through Prajavani, focusing on issues of encroachment and local infrastructure. At Anand Nagar layout in Patighanapur village of Patancheru mandal, he reviewed complaints related to alleged encroachments on roads, parks and land meant for public use. The layout, approved in 1980 and spread over 92 acres with 1,109 plots, has some plots regularised under layout regularization scheme (LRS). Residents informed officials that the layout boundaries had been altered and recorded as agricultural land. There were also allegations regarding misuse of Dharani to create passbooks. Several plot owners attended and explained their concerns.AV Ranganath, commissioner, HYDRAA, said officials would verify the layout and ‘identify public spaces such as roads and parks as per records and take action where required’.In Beeramguda of Ameenpur, he examined a complaint by the Industrial Employees’ Cooperative House Building Society regarding encroachments. The layout, developed in 1982 across 180 acres with around 1,650 plots, was reportedly being fragmented and sold in smaller portions.“Steps should be taken to prevent further encroachments, and govt land may be secured,” he said, adding that existing residents need not be unduly concerned. He also inspected Shambunikunta lake after residents reported flooding issues. Officials were asked to look into blocked drainage outlets and take necessary action, including restoring stormwater flow and examining any violations.MSID:: 129803069 413 |
