Patna: Education minister Mithilesh Tiwari on Sunday described the launch of 551 model schools across Bihar as a historic step towards providing quality education to all sections of society. Speaking at a function at IOC stadium in Barauni, he said the state had made significant progress in learning outcomes through academic reforms, teacher training, infrastructure development and mission-based programmes.Tiwari said the govt aims to convert more state-run schools into model institutions in the coming years. He also said educational reforms would help Bihar contribute to the vision of a Vikshit Bharat by 2047.Earlier, Tiwari, along with chief minister Samrat Choudhary, visited the newly selected BP Inter School in Begusarai, renamed Saraswati Vidya Niketan. The two reviewed the school’s academic activities and modern facilities and visited an exhibition of projects prepared by students.
