Ahmedabad: A domestic help employed for just 15 days has been accused of stealing jewellery worth Rs 11 lakh from a residence in Bodakdev, police said.The FIR was filed on Friday by a 50-year-old resident of Rangin Park Society near Rajpath Club. She stated that the theft came to light on Feb 24. She had travelled to her native village, Shivrajgadh in Gondal taluka, on Feb 7 for a social function and returned the following evening.According to the complaint, the jewellery was stored in an unlocked compartment of a wooden wall cupboard in the bedroom. When she checked the cupboard around 10am on Feb 24, the ornaments were missing. Despite searching the house, the items could not be found.The stolen jewellery includes four gold bangles (73g), a gold mangalsutra with two earrings (75g), a gold set with two earrings (36g), a gold ring (6g) and a small beaded chain, collectively valued at approximately Rs 11 lakh. tnn
