Shimla: Himachal Pradesh is likely to receive heavy rain from Sept 26 to 29, with the weather activity expected to peak on Sept 27.The Meteorological Centre, Shimla, said on Friday that the weather system was expected to remain active from the night of Sept 26 to the morning of Sept 29, with Sirmaur, Shimla, Solan, Mandi and Bilaspur likely to receive fairly widespread to widespread rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.Sirmaur has been placed under an orange alert for Sept 27, when heavy to very heavy rain is very likely at isolated places. The district is also under a yellow alert for heavy rain on Sept 28.On Sept 27, yellow alerts have been issued for heavy rain in isolated places in Bilaspur, Mandi, Shimla and Solan, while Kinnaur may receive isolated moderate rain.On Sept 28, isolated heavy rain is likely over Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur.The IMD has also forecast moderate rain over parts of Una, Hamirpur, Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Kinnaur and Spiti in Lahaul-Spiti district on Sept 27 and 28.
