S Jaishankar delivered a sharp response at the United Nations after a Pakistani reporter accused India of sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan and questioned New Delhi over a Sikh leader in New York. “A terrorist country is asking me that question?” India’s External Affairs Minister replied during a briefing with Liberia’s Foreign Minister. The exchange came as Jaishankar highlighted another security challenge: growing attacks on commercial shipping and seafarers across critical waterways. He warned that such incidents are no longer exceptional, putting the Strait of Hormuz, Gulf of Oman and other vital maritime routes under renewed scrutiny.
