Mandya: Maddur MLA KM Uday on Monday alleged that Union minister HD Kumaraswamy is responsible for former MP Prajwal Revanna landing in soup.Speaking to the media in Maddur on Monday, Uday claimed that the electorate has rejected Nikhil Kumaraswamy three times in successive elections. He alleged that after repeated electoral setbacks, Kumaraswamy resorted to political manoeuvring instead of democratic means. He said the imprisonment of Prajwal was orchestrated out of political rivalry and personal resentment.Uday further charged that Kumaraswamy could not tolerate Prajwal’s growing popularity and influence in the region. He alleged that the controversial pen drives that surfaced during the election period were part of a delibrate strategy to politically damage Prajwal and ensure his incarceration. The MLA also referred to former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, stating that if there was genuine intent within the family to secure Prajwal’s release, it would have been possible. However, he claimed that continued instigation and influence from Kumaraswamy has prevented any such move.
