Prayagraj: The Allahabad High Court on Wednesday granted bail to Samajwadi Party MLA from Bhadohi Zahid Beg in a bonded labour and human trafficking case registered against him at Bhadohi.The SP MLA had surrendered before the court in Sep 2024 and was lodged in jail in connection with two cases – forcing minor into labour and ‘suicide’ of his domestic help at his house.Justice Sameer Jain passed this order on Wednesday. The court had reserved his judgment earlier after hearing both sides at length.The cases were filed against Beg after the death of a female domestic servant working in his house. The cases related to bonded labour and human trafficking. Some cases were also registered against Zahid’s wife and son. However, his wife had obtained anticipatory bail a few days back.
