Akola: A young woman from Haryana, allegedly confined to the residence of a married Akola man for five days she had met online through a gaming application, was rescued on Tuesday night.The accused, identified as Zamir Zahiruddin Kazi (25), is reportedly married and has a child. According to police sources, he operated a fake profile under the username ‘Badshah’ on a gaming platform and used it to establish contact with multiple women. He allegedly developed a relationship with the Haryana-based woman and persuaded her to travel to Akola.Investigations reveal that the woman was brought to Geeta Nagar area, where she stayed at the accused’s house for nearly five days. The accused allegedly influenced her emotionally and convinced her to remain with him.A missing complaint was registered in Haryana, prompting the woman’s brother to trace her to Akola. He approached the Khadan police station, following which the matter came to light.
