Calangute: Piyush Sachdeva, a resident of Rohtak, Haryana, was allegedly cheated of Rs 88,000 at Candolim after being offered a 10-year holiday package with 42 days of free stays at luxury hotels worldwide.According to his complaint, Sachdeva was approached on Dec 1, 2024, by five persons claiming to be staff of OsDia De Festa Vacations Pvt Ltd at Hotel Whispering Palms beach resort in Candolim.After discussions, Sachdeva paid Rs 88,000 by credit card after being promised 42 days of accommodation over 10 years at three-star and four-star resorts. He alleged that the promised services were never provided and the money was not refunded.The accused have been identified as Zikriya Shaikh alias Sunny, Abdul Rahim Mahamad Yusuf Shaikh, Haider, Ankita and Ashish Singh Rajput. Calangute police have issued notices to them to appear for inquiry. Further investigation is under way.
