Chandigarh: Haryana govt has enhanced the monthly pension and financial assistance under various social security pension and allowance schemes from Rs 3000 per month to Rs 3,200 per month.As per a notification issued by the department of social justice, empowerment, welfare of scheduled castes and backward classes and antyodaya (SEWA), the revised rates will be effective from Nov 1, 2025, and the enhanced amount will be disbursed from Feb 2026. This decision reflects the state govt’s continued commitment to strengthening the social security framework and ensuring financial dignity for beneficiaries.

The increase of Rs 200 per month covers major schemes, including the Old Age Samman Allowance Scheme, Ladli Social Security Pension Scheme, Pension to Persons with Disabilities, Pension to Dwarfs, Financial Assistance to Destitute Women and Widows, Financial Assistance to Widower and Unmarried Persons Scheme 2023, Financial Assistance to Persons suffering from rare diseases, Financial Assistance for Stage-III and IV Cancer Patients, and Pension to Eunuchs.In addition, the govt also enhanced assistance under other welfare schemes. Financial Assistance to Non-School Going Differently Abled Children was increased from Rs 2,400 to Rs 2,600 per month. Assistance to Destitute Children was increased from Rs 2,100 to Rs 2,300 per month for one child, and from Rs 4,200 to Rs 4,600 per month for two children. Financial assistance to Kashmiri migrant families settled in Haryana was increased from Rs 1,500 to Rs 1,700 per month for one person, with the maximum family limit enhanced from Rs 7,500 to Rs 8,500.Financial assistance to acid attack victims was enhanced across all disability categories. In the 40%-50% degree of disability category, assistance was increased from Rs 7,500 per month to Rs 8,000 per month; in the 50% to 60% category, assistance was increased from Rs 10,500 to Rs 11,200; and in the 60% and above category, financial assistance was increased from Rs 13,500 to Rs 14,400 per month.
