Gurgaon: Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) has decided to take complete control of Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET), ending the involvement of the private agency engaged to conduct the examination.
The decision follows criticism over misprints and incorrect answer options reported during HTET-2025, conducted on July 4 and 5 this year.
Under the new arrangement, BSEH will independently handle the entire examination process, including preparation and printing of question papers, examination logistics, evaluation and declaration of results. Officials said the move aims to strengthen the examination system and ensure accountability at every stage.
The next HTET exam cycle is scheduled for Nov 21 and 22 for candidates appearing for the primary teacher (PRT), trained graduate teacher (TGT) and postgraduate teacher (PGT) levels. The detailed notification and online application schedule are expected to be issued through the BSEH portal in Sept.
For the upcoming examination, the board has also decided to introduce a dual OMR sheet system. Candidates will be provided with two OMR sheets, allowing them to retain one copy after the examination for their records and verification.
