New Delhi: The University of Delhi has invited applications for its Competence Enhancement Scheme (CES) 2025-26, under which eligible learners can enrol in individual papers offered by the university’s departments and colleges.
The scheme allows learners to study alongside regular students in existing courses, subject to the eligibility requirements and availability of seats for the selected paper.
According to Delhi University, CES is intended to provide opportunities for learners who may not have had the opportunity to pursue formal education earlier, as well as those seeking to upgrade their academic or professional skills.
The scheme is aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020’s emphasis on lifelong learning and access to education.
Any candidate meeting the minimum eligibility criteria and other prerequisites specified for a particular paper can register under CES. Admission will depend on the availability of seats in the respective department or college.
Seats offered under CES will be treated as supernumerary, according to the university.
Details of papers available under the scheme, eligibility requirements and fee structure are available through the CES e-brochure on the Delhi University admission portal and the website of the Institute of Lifelong Learning (ILLL), the university’s nodal coordinating institute for the scheme.
The university has stated that registration for CES remains open throughout the year, with admissions also being conducted throughout the year.
Candidates interested in studying papers offered by university departments and colleges under CES 2025-26 can register through the university’s CES registration portal.
